Miami International Airport and the Port of Miami are among the nations busiest ports of entry. Tourism is also an important industry with world-renowned beaches and a popular nightclub district.
Miami International Airport is the third largest port of entry behind JFK and LAX. Fort Lauderdale/ Hollywood International Airport serves most intercontinental passengers. Miami is connected to Amtrak’s Atlantic coast services. Miami-Dade transit operates the local rail/bus systems. The interstate highways are I-75, I-95, I-195, I-395 and routes 1, 27, 41 and 441. The music of Miami is varied with Latin and hip-hop influences playing a large role.
